As a teenager, can you make a difference? Can you honestly do anything to impact the world for Christ? Is it even worth trying? What’s the point?

Here is the simple answer- Yes! You can make a difference. You can make an impact. God used some young people in the Bible to do great things, including David, Esther, King Josiah, Joseph, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and  Abednego. God wants to show Himself powerful through your life too. Are you living up to your potential to impact the world for Christ?

There is only one way that you will ever impact your friends, family, and others for Christ: you must have a personal and passionate relationship with God! It is essential to make God the center of your life so that your life will be impacted by the Word of God.

Is your life different from the people around you? (1 Peter 2:9). Are you saved? Have you put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ?

There are two simple questions you must ask yourself to see if your life is being impacted by the Word of God.

  • Are your desires different from the world’s desires?
  • Are you spending quality time in God’s Word every day?

There must be a separation from the world. What you do, think, say, laugh at, watch, and listen to must be different from teenagers who do not have a relationship with God. There must be a distinction between us and them. So, how much time do you spend in the Bible? Reading, studying, meditating, and memorizing the Bible should be part of your daily life (2 Timothy 2:15). Forget about impacting the world for God if you cannot maintain a personal relationship with God.

Walk with God. Every day. It is that simple.

After you have established a personal relationship with God and are daily walking with Him, you can impact the world around you for Christ. God wants you to be an example to others (1 Timothy 4:12). You should be an example in the way you talk (James 1:26), act (Philippians 1:27), and love (1 Corinthians 13:4-8). You can easily guide others closer to God by the way you live your life, but you also need to be actively evangelizing the lost (Acts 1:8). How many people have you told about the love God? You should be a soulwinner if you want to impact the world for Christ.

You can make a difference. You can make an impact.

Be Impacted by the Word to Impact the World!
