SIGNS OF SPRING AND NEW LIFE

Apr 28, 2026 | Stewardship

When Spring arrives, we are reminded of all God's busy creatures. The robin building her intricate nest while anticipating the arrival of her babies; the daffodils in bloom and the colorful tulips; sounds of hummingbirds coming back to their feeder while the seeds of the ground sprout into life. How can we say there is no God?

Human life is crazy in many ways, but we are reminded of a new beginning when we are saved. Just like Spring, we begin a new life in Christ (John 3:16)! Everything changes.

  • 2 Corinthians 5:17-18 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.”

From the beginning of Creation with Adam and Eve everything has unfolded according to God’s plan, including His plan of salvation. When we receive Christ as our Savior, we experience God’s New Creation!

Then we discover that we are on this earth for a purpose, to reflect God’s Glory and to be witnesses to those who do not know Christ.  The people with whom we come in contact daily, including our neighbors and our relatives, may never hear the plan of salvation if they don’t hear it from us.

I’m reminded of Ron's aunt who was Roman Catholic and accepted Christ as her personal Savior before she passed away because we witnessed to her. She is now in heaven, waiting to meet us again.

We are thankful for the opportunities given to us to share our faith, even if we will not know the impact of the many mustard seeds we have planted until we reach our final destination.
